“As a leading voice for Latinos across California, it is our responsibility to educate and inform our community about pressing issues that will have an impact on our state,” said Nora E. Vargas, Executive Director for LIF. “With over 3 million Latinos registered to vote in California it is imperative that we provide information that will help our community make informed decisions on the November 4th ballot.” This year’s November ballot includes issues ranging from veteran affairs to a parental notification initiative that would put Californians most vulnerable teens, many of them young Latinas, at risk. Latino Issues Forum (LIF) is a non-profit public policy and advocacy institute dedicated to advancing new and innovative public policy solutions for a better, more equitable and prosperous society. Established in 1987, LIF's primary focus is on the broader issues of education, health care, the environment, telecommunications, and civic participation. ###
